Courage to Change - Norwich 2010
Courage to Change – Norwich 2010
This talk given at an AOR event, includes; why change is essential for the soul, what is a dark night of the soul, why we make excuses rather than change, why keeping ourselves small doesn’t work PLUS a mantra for change and using the action number of numerology to help us change.
Selected teaching from this seminar: Calculating this year’s purpose through numerology
For many, change is scary; it represents being out of control, getting it wrong, facing the unknown or the fear of hurting those we love. Yet soul directed change always brings us closer to our own inner being, makes relationships more honest and takes us out of stagnant situations which cause us to feel frustrated, depressed, unfulfilled and resentful.
Your year’s purpose through numerology
Take for example as a date of birth: 10. 11. 1963
Add just the day and month together: 10 + 11 =3 (0 doesn’t count)
Create a single digit from the present year eg. 2013 = 6
Add the day/month and year together 3 + 6 = 9
This person is in a 9 year which starts on their birthday in the present year.
Meanings
1 year: year of new ideas and beginnings, trying out new things while still completing some old things.
2 year: year to nurture the dream, create space for the ideas to take root, look at finances and encourage gifts and talents. May decorate or re-organize the home to nurture the new ideas.
3 year: year of planning, creating and learning. May involve designing business cards, networking, and enhanced communication.
4 year: year of hard work, turning plans into action through manifestation, discipline and practical application.
5 year: year of change and refinement, looking back over the past 4 years. Often involves a desire for travel, freedom and flexibility.
6 year: year to party, socialize, romance and be outgoing.
7 year: year to be introspective, have a sabbatical, attend meditation classes or go on a retreat. Not a year to try and push out with new ideas.
8 year: year to bring everything together and bring heaven onto earth. May involve drawing up contracts, arranging finances and success.
9 year: year of completion, endings and release. Not a year to try and start something new.

2012; Truths, Myths and the Fulfillment of our Destiny
2012: Truths, Myths, DestinY
2012; Truths, Myths and the Fulfillment of our Destiny
Selected teaching from this seminar:
It’s not the year 2012 which is important, but 2013 and beyond. For this is when we begin the next cycle of ages. It’s now we must decide upon our spiritual focus because this will establish the foundation for planetary consciousness for the next seven generations and for many cycles to follow.
The Maya say that 2012 is just the beginning, 2023 is the middle and 2038 is the time when, like an infant, we will feel steady enough to take baby steps towards a new way of living. They predict that between 2013 and 2023, we will experience many challenges as well as triumphs as we follow our own inner light towards a new direction for humanity. Ahead of us are many exciting years of change and opportunity as we emerge like the butterfly from the cocoon and into the golden years of unification with ourselves, others and the Divine. This is what we have been waiting for.
Yet, even as we stand at the doorway leading to expanded levels of consciousness and new horizons, it’s easy to feel a little reticent causing us to request as little disruption as possible to our present life, however imperfect it may be. Change is often perceived as a challenge especially when we can’t dictate the outcome and this is certainly one of those moments. However, the die was cast a long time again and there is no turning back. But there are certainly ways to make life easier so we spend less time fighting against the winds of change and more time going with the flow.
- Make life simple, letting go of books and magazines never read, friendships which no longer nurture you, beliefs which make you feel small and inadequate and stories which are over.
- Change meditation practices so you spend more time in your body and on the Earth rather than leaving your body. Divine insights are all around us, you don’t need to go looking for them.
- Spend time in nature especially amongst flowers and birds both of which understand the link with cycles and seasons.
- Follow your heart and not your head. Only the heart knows the unknown, the had can only create from the known.
- Don’t take yourself too seriously
- Know you are loved and therefore connected to the divine flow of energy and can’t get it wrong!

Living On the Edge of Chaos – Dallas 2009
This talk includes; how to surf the waves of change, why it’s time to let go of old attachments and stories which otherwise will drown us, the transition between the Piscean and Aquarian Age, what happens when individuals are offered freedom and abundance and a useful mantra when facing uncertainty PLUS a visual imagery exercise to connect to the light at the center of our heart.
Selected teaching from this seminar: How to live comfortably on the edge of chaos.
This special place – the edge of chaos – between structure and chaos is a powerful place of growth and transformation. Here our intention can become highly focused allowing all of our energy to be used to create our reality from the deepest part of our being, benefiting all concerned. ‘
How to Live Comfortably on the Edge of Chaos
Learning to live comfortably & expansively in both poles of existence makes the edge of chaos an exciting reality and reminds us of our eternal nature.
Chaos reminds us to:
- Celebrate the ocean of possibilities/unlimited abundance, available to us all in every moment
- Remember; just because you’re good at doing something, it doesn’t mean you should keep doing it
- Remember that what is known by the conscious mind/ the intellect is built upon past information and can never be the greatest source of new experiences and expansion of consciousness
Structure reminds us to:
- Be accountable for our creations without becoming a victim to our choices
- Remember that the Universe always surrounds us with love and support, despite any misperception of insecurity and loneliness
- Remember we are more than our stories
Living on the Edge of chaos requires us to:
- Remember we are amazing, eternal creative beings
- Be willing to live with the uncertainty and excitement of change
- Be willing to fully embrace and embody our experiences
- Be willing to take risks living in both essence and structure/ spirit and matter
- Live in the transformative power of the heart where everything exists in the Now including the past and the future.
- Reclaim every part of the Self through the heart not driven by the shame of the past and fear of the future
- Listen to the rhythm of the soul whose source is the heart: intuition
- Re-own and maintain one’s power
- Live in the alchemical vessel, the body
- Connect through the earthchild chakra beneath the feet and the starchild chakra above the head.

2012: Return of the Great Mother
2012 the Return of the Great Mother: New York 2008
This talk given at the Nan Lu clinic in NY includes; why emotions are necessary to change reality, why playfulness is vital for soul fulfillment, why women should wear skirts, how research shows time is elastic with changes made to the past, why it’s important to not ‘fall asleep’ at this time and how to make the most of the choices available PLUS a visual imagery exercise to tap into the rhythm of your soul.
Selected teaching from this seminar:
According to indigenous people, we’re in the midst of the apocalypse; the lifting of the veils when things previously hidden, except to certain people, will be revealed to all. Maori wisdom keepers say; when the veils dissolve, the Earth will reach its perfected state on the 12th dimension, becoming home to an enlightened humanity.
Some years ago, I experienced the following meditation which deepened my understanding of this time of renewal. In the meditation, I find myself kneeling in the warm sand of the desert watching my beloved teacher sculpting a fairly intricate mandala carefully in the sand. He looks up pleased with his efforts and then, without a word and with one swift move of his hand, he sweeps away the whole picture, until all that is left is the smooth, virginal sand.
He smiles; “Remember that despite appearances life is impermanent; here today gone tomorrow. All dreams and ideas arise from a primal source often described as the Great Mother or Ocean of Possibilities and it is to here that our creations will eventually return to fulfill their destiny.” He pauses and then with a glint in his eye asks; “Now, what image of your future do you wish me to create now” positioning his hand over the sand, ready to draw.
“But change can’t be as easy as merely sweeping one’s hand through the old and creating something new?” I ask with amazement at the simplicity. He smiles at my realization; “Of course it is; it always has been. You’ve just forgotten that you are an eternal being, whose power is to create and dissolve. In ancient times, we had the same skills as the gods and goddesses of traditional tales. But over time, our immortal identity was forgotten and such talents became buried in mythological stories as we became lost in the illusion of our reality.”
“Now is the time to take back these creative powers, develop your personal magician’s wand and embrace your creations; for in truth, you are the creator of a whole new world.”
“But why wouldn’t everybody want to take advantage of this extraordinary time in our history?” I ask, bemused.
He leans forward again and draws some numbers in the sand:
“As we move from the fourth to the fifth world, change is offered through the dissolution and transformation of the old. Yet despite the inherent gift of free will to the human race and the fact that many people feel that their life is a struggle and they wish for change, when the sand is wiped clear and choice is offered, 40 percent will instantly recreate what has just been swept away. Another 40 percent, unaware that they have a choice, will find that the challenge of the void is too much for them and they will instantly fall asleep or become unconscious mentally, remaining in this state until an external source reawakens them. Fifteen percent will become confused, which will be expressed as irritation, frustration, and disorientation, and 5 percent will understand, recognizing the opportunity to be vanguards and light bearers of a new creative cycle, both for themselves and for the world in general.”
Inside each of us is a part which recreates old patterns of behavior, a part whose eyes glaze over at the mention of change, a part which becomes irritated when we perceive a loss of control and a part which smiles as it surrenders to the loving embrace of inner knowing, emanating from our own heart.
